T-Wolves enjoy time defense

CRAWFORD – Many fans who watch the West Oktibbeha football team, might say the offense is fun to watch.

The defense isn't too bad itself.

West Oktibbeha fought its way to a 34-8 win over rival East Oktibbeha Friday night, led by the defense.
"I was pleased with the boys effort," West Oktibbeha head coach Adam Lowrey said. "It was a lot of fun to watch it."

Future uncertain for SemiSouth workers

Mississippi State University Vice President for Research David Shaw confirmed Friday that Starkville-based technology incubator SemiSouth Laboratories is closing down, but said he hopes a solution can be developed to retain employees who are affected.

Liggins scores twice in East Webster win

HAMILTON – Deangelo Liggins scored two touchdowns and the East Webster Wolverines rolled to a 24-0 win over Hamilton Friday night.

Liggins found McKinley Hollenhead for a 32-yard passing score. He caught a 27-yard strike from Jack Wilson.

Liggins finished the night with 44 yards rushing. He also completed 4-of-6 passes for 60 yards.
