NEW YORK — A Bangladeshi man who came to the United States to wage jihad was arrested in an elaborate FBI sting on Wednesday after attempting to blow up a fake car bomb outside the Federal Reserve building in Manhattan, authorities said.

The Patriots (5-4, 2-2) host Starkville Academy (5-4, 2-2) Friday night at 7 p.m. with the Class AAA, Division II title on the line.

MSU's Mullen likes his quarterbacks

Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen likes the situation he has at quarterback.

With a proven leader in junior Tyler Russell starting and a decent role player in redshirt freshman Dak Prescott, Mullen appears to have a pair of signal callers he can depend upon.

On Wednesday, it was announced by the Allstate Sugar Bowl that Russell was placed on the Manning Award Watch List.

It’s been a good year for family weddings. In the summer, we traveled to Texas to see the first of the first cousins once removed (I checked the chart) on Daddy’s side get hitched. This weekend we went eastward to Macon, Ga., to see a chapter close, as the final first cousin on Mama’s branch (not removed at all) tied the knot.
