The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs were finally rewarded for their play on the basketball court with a Southeastern Conference victory.

Many schools and local businesses closed a little early Tuesday for in preparation for winter weather moving through Mississippi.
The Starkville School District is monitoring weather conditions closely. All after- school events have been cancelled for Wednesday.

Starkville battled its way past Columbus Tuesday in the Class 6A, Region 2 Tournament to seal a berth in the event's title game.
