It's not only up to the coaches and players at this time of the year to get geared up for the football season.
Coaches' wives also have a responsibility to get prepared for what's to come.
"It's game time," said Megan Mullen, the wife of Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen, at the Kiwanis Club meeting on Tuesday.
Megan began to feel the craziness which is "the preseason" in college football a couple of weeks ago.
HATTIESBURG â Paige Watson, representing Starkville/Oktibbeha County, met with Dr. Martha Saunders, President of the University of Southern Mississippi, during the MissHospitality Welcome Party held at the presidentâs home on Monday, July 26th. She was one of 29 contestants who are taking part in the 61st Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant, July 25th â July 31st at the Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.

Choctaw is pronounced, chata. We have a prominent Choctaw Indian tribe who live on the Choctaw Indian Reservation near Philadelphia.
Mashulaville, Mississippi is between Macon, and Philadelphia. If you went to Macon, which is closer to Starkville, you would go West and then turn South.
Mashulaville is a tiny spot or very small community in our wonderful state of Mississippi.
The Choctaw Indian tribe is a member of a Muskogean people originally inhabiting Mississippi and Alabama.
A visit to The Little Dooey is more than a place to get great barbecue, it is an event.
And the state of Mississippi would agree. The Little Dooey in Starkville was listed in third place for Best Barbeque in the recent Best of Mississippi readership poll, in the July/August issue of Mississippi Magazine. The Little Dooey is one of seven Starkville restaurants receiving placement in the poll.

The Starkville branch of the Shockwave Aquatic Swim Team claimed eight individual state last weekend in Cleveland.
It turns out to be the final competition of the summer season for the Starkville members of the squad.
